Sopiga Veerasamy Baby Sopiga Veerasamy – Case No. 278 – Suffering from Congenital Heart Disease. Please support her for her Open Heart Surgery.

Baby Sopiga Veerasamy is 3 years old girl suffering from congenital heart disease. S/p Central shunt done on 20.4.2023 for Tetrology of Fallot with pulmonary atresia/MAPCA’s dependent pulmonary circulation/Branch PA’s could not be visualized/Left sided aortic arch, (Some patients with MAPCA dependent pulmonary circulation have increased pulmonary blood flow with higher than normal oxygen saturation, these patients are at risk for developing late pulmonary hypertension or volume overload to the left ventricle, leading to heart failure). Central shunt flowing well. She needs TOF (Intra-cardiac Repair (Ventricular Septal Defect Closure+RV-PA conduit) and she needs to undergo second open heart surgery at the earliest. Due to their financial condition they had been going door to door for financial support and hence could not treat her. Her health started deteriorating day by day and again they took her to Apollo Children’s Hospitals Chennai. Doctors informed them that she requires an urgent second open heart surgery as early as possible. The approximate cost for the treatment of Baby Sopiga Veerasamy is Rs. 8,00,000/-.
